Murray is a stylish left-hand batter has played in ODIs and test matches since debuting for Ireland in early 2023. He is one of the few players to have scored a century in both the 50-over and T20 Inter-provincial competitions, showing his versatility.

South African-born, Murray came to Ireland as an overseas player for Instonians in 2019 and has played at the Inter-provincial level since.

After two years at the Northern Knights, he moved to Munster Reds in 2021 and made his Ireland debut a couple of years later.
