A player with all the attributes to be a top level fast bowler, Conor has the ability to trouble any batter. Having not played representative cricket at youth level, he was 'spotted' by Northern Knights coach Simon Johnston while bowling in the nets at UUJ where he was studying.

The Bready bowler grew up looking to follow in the footsteps of his father, who played once for Ireland against Ireland A back in 1998.

In 2022, Conor had done enough to first earn a surprise call up to the Ireland squad set to face none other than India in that two-match series.

With the natural ability Olphert has, and his aggressive mentality, he’s a player who should excite Ireland fans.
