Having widely consulted and taken on-board external information including PSNI guidance, Cricket Ireland advises that the Irish Senior Cup and National Cup fixtures scheduled for 14 June 2026 will proceed where both clubs are in agreement that it is safe to do so.
We appreciate the support of all participating clubs in making this happen and have also made provision for any circumstance where a club/team becomes uncomfortable to travel as scheduled.
However, we recognise that circumstances may vary greatly for different clubs, and so the following process has been agreed:
If both clubs agree to proceed, the fixture goes ahead as scheduled.
If one or both clubs elect to postpone the fixture where it believes that travel logistics or safety concerns make participation impractical or inappropriate, then the fixture will be played on the reserve date of 21 June 2026, with the team originally drawn as the host remaining as the host for the reserve date.
Please note any fixture that is postponed beyond the reserve date, that fixture must be arranged by agreement between the two clubs and played before 10 July 2026.
All clubs must notify Cricket Ireland and their opposition of how they wish proceed.
