Sigenergy to power Ireland Men’s cricket team through new multi-year partnership

Cricket Ireland today announced Sigenergy as a multi-year sponsor of the Ireland Men’s international cricket team.

Sigenergy is a fast growing global energy technology brand, founded in Shanghai, that provides all in one home and commercial energy systems. Its technology helps homeowners and businesses manage solar power, battery storage and electric vehicle (EV) charging through a single, integrated platform.

The Sigenergy logo will feature on the leading arm of the Ireland Men’s playing jersey across Test, ODI and T20I bilateral fixtures, and will also be visible through ground branding at Cricket Ireland home international matches.

The sponsorship strategically aligns with Cricket Ireland’s existing partnership with Irish renewable energy business Fáilte Solar (whose branding will be maintained on the front of the Ireland Men’s playing jersey). This collaboration is a natural evolution of the deeply rooted, long-standing relationship between Fáilte Solar and Sigenergy. The initiative is being actively driven by Abhilash Borana, the Founder of Fáilte Solar, who also acts as a key international partner for Sigenergy across multiple global markets. His cross-border leadership perfectly encapsulates the global-to-local synergy of this announcement, bridging international clean-tech innovation directly with Ireland’s renewable energy sector.

The inclusion of Sigenergy alongside Fáilte Solar as major sponsors of Cricket Ireland’s supports the National Governing Body’s wider commercial strategy of building sustainable, long term relationships that enhance both the local and international visibility of Irish cricket.

Sigenergy CEO Tony Xu said:

“Sigenergy is proud to announce this new partnership, reinforcing the brand’s growing presence across some of the world’s most important renewable energy markets. Cricket holds a major global audience across countries including Australia, India, New Zealand, South Africa, England, Ireland, and many other regions where Sigenergy is already performing strongly and continuing to expand its leadership position.

“As one of the world’s most followed sports, cricket provides a powerful international platform to connect with consumers, businesses, and communities across fast-growing energy markets. This partnership represents an important strategic step for Sigenergy as the company continues to deliver intelligent renewable energy solutions worldwide and strengthen its position as a leading global brand in clean energy innovation.”

Sarah Keane, CEO of Cricket Ireland, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Sigenergy to the Irish cricket family. The addition of Sigenergy builds naturally on our partnership with Fáilte Solar and reflects Cricket Ireland’s strategy of working with forwardlooking partners who are investing to grow cricket in Ireland.

“Cricket is almost uniquely placed in global sport to deliver true visibility in many of the largest and fastest growing markets in the world – but it’s Sigenergy’s commitment to working with Cricket Ireland to support our international men’s team is what has impressed us most. Our thanks to Abilash and his team for their ongoing support for Irish cricket.”
