Ireland launches new playing kit ahead of ICC Men's T20 World Cup

One of Ireland’s most magical landmarks has inspired the new T20 International kit design created by Macron for Cricket Ireland, which they will wear for the first time in competition at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, starting on 7 February in India and Sri Lanka.

About the design

In its fourth year as Technical Partner of Cricket Ireland, Macron has delivered a kit that takes inspiration from the rugged coastlines of Ireland and uses the distinctive geology of the Giant’s Causeway – a unique and iconic landmark that is formed by thousands of hexagonal basalt columns of volcanic origin.

The Giant’s Causeway is one of four UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Ireland, headlining the Causeway Coastal Route which connects onto the Wild Atlantic Way from Co. Donegal – a magnificent 2,500km (1,553 miles) stretching down the west coast to Kinsale in County Cork.

The predominantly green colour is in continuity with recent designs, with the sleeves and shoulders darker, and a lighter green featuring around the three-button collar, front and back. Light-blue vertical bands run along the sides and around the shoulders.

The shirt is characterised by an all-over tone-on-tone graphic representing the columns of the Giant’s Causeway together with the waves crashing against them. The kit is completed by navy blue long trousers with white drawstrings and green bands along the sides and at calf height, echoing the shirt’s graphic design.

On the left chest sits the Cricket Ireland crest, while the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 logo appears on the right. The Macron Hero, in white, is positioned on the sleeve.

About the material

All garments are made from Eco Fabric, 100% polyester fabrics derived from recycled plastic, delivering a strong message of sustainability and respect for the environment. Specifically, the main fabric used is Eco Gotex, a technical textile specifically developed for match kits. The presence of Eco Mesh inserts also ensures maximum lightness and optimal breathability.

Following the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, this kit will become the new Ireland Women’s and Ireland Men’s T20I bilateral playing shirt. Macron, together with Cricket Ireland, will unveil the new ODI and Test playing shirts in advance of the 2026 home international summer.

The retail kit range for sale will include both short and long-sleeved jerseys, as well as long-sleeved a V-neck jumper and a sleeveless vest, all featuring the same layout and graphic both on the body and on the sleeves.

Fans can buy the new ICC Men’s T20 World Cup special edition kit in time for the World Cup directly from the Macron website.
