Ireland Women’s tour of Bangladesh announced

First series under new permanent captain, Gaby Lewis

DUBLIN and DHAKA – Ireland Women’s cricket team are set for their first tour to Bangladesh in 10 years to play a six-match white ball series later this month. This will be the first series under the leadership of the new permanent captain, Gaby Lewis.

The two sides – who last met in 2022 – have played 18 times across formats:

  • 11 x T20 Internationals (Bangladesh 8 wins, Ireland 3 wins)
  • 7 x One-Day Internationals (Bangladesh 4 wins, Ireland 1 win, 2 no results)

The series will be played between 27 November and 9 December with all games live-streamed on the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s Youtube channel.

The three ODIs are part of the ICC Women’s Championship.

  • 27 November 2024: Bangladesh v Ireland (1st ODI; Mirpur; start 10am)
  • 30 November 2024: Bangladesh v Ireland (2nd ODI; Mirpur; start 10am)
  • 2 December 2024: Bangladesh v Ireland (3rd ODI; Mirpur; start 10am)
  • 5 December 2024: Bangladesh v Ireland (1st T20I; Sylhet; start 2pm)
  • 7 December 2024: Bangladesh v Ireland (2nd T20I; Sylhet; start 2pm)
  • 9 December 2024: Bangladesh v Ireland (3rd T20I; Sylhet; start 10am)

The Ireland Women’s squad will be announced shortly.
