After much of Day Three was washed out we were treated to sunshine and a decisive win for the hosts to close out what has been a very important tour.
The day began with West Indies Academy resuming on 155-3, trailing by 86 and looking to bat their way into the game.
Ackeem Auguste and Carlon Bowen-Tuckett put on a very impressive stand but without them, the tourists soon fell away.
Matt Humphreys was again very dangerous with the ball claiming his second five wicket haul in the match and ten in total.
Emerging Ireland bowled out West Indies Academy for 268 meaning 28 to win which they completed by 10 wickets.
The win closed out a very important tour for both sets of players that will hopefully lead to more pathway cricket like this for developing players in the system.
DAY THREE REPORT: Play with Emerging Ireland on 397 for 7 – Fionn Hand batting with Liam McCarthy to add to their lead.
Hand eventually fell for 79 only due to a remarkable reflex catch from Kadeem Alleyne in gully and the tourists were able to wrap up the innings not long after.
The West Indies Academy openers came out before lunch and showed strong application before Alleyne was run out when confusion brought both batters to the same end.
A wicket each for Andy McBrine and Matt Humphries further dented the hopes of the touring side but then rain came after lunch to completely stall the action.

DAY TWO REPORT: Like 24 hours before, Day Two was delayed by very light rain but this time play was able to proceed just a half an hour later than scheduled.
Emerging Ireland’s openers stayed watchful throughout the first session until McCollum was dismissed by Ramon Simmonds before lunch.
After the break, West Indies Academy had more joy with Joshua Bishop removing Balbirnie and continued to build pressure.
Conditions then changed drastically with more sun and less cloud cover but the tourists managed to take key wickets in key moments.
Andy McBrine, Fionn Hand then later Liam McCarthy however refused to wilt and kept building up their total. More to come on Day Three…
DAY ONE REPORT: West Indies Academy won the toss and elected to bat after light rain that didn’t allow play for the entirety of the first session.
Early lunch was taken, but soon after, Matthew Foster and Liam McCarthy had prized out Kadeem Alleyne and Jewel Andrew.
The game soon opened up with Curtis Campher taking a triple wicket maiden upon being introduced. He just has a knack of making things happen.
Five wickets for Matt Humphreys helped wrap up the West Indies Academy innings with Emerging Ireland 18 for 0 trailing by 182 at the end of the day’s play.
