NORTH COUNTY – After claiming the T20 title on Sunday, the Dragons got to work against Typhoons in the 50 over format.
On a bright, sunny day in Fingal, Typhoons won the toss and elected to bat on what was assumed to be good conditions to bat.
However soon they found themselves in trouble at 10-3, 29-4, 81-7 and 105-9. Then eventually 133 all out in 38.4 overs.
Orla Prendergast claimed 4-31 but the bowling side shared the wickets around plus the run out of Sarah Forbes.
Dragons went out to bat immediately and were 27-0 after 8 overs just before lunch. Upon returning they lost their first at 49-1.
They would lose four more wickets but were never looked in too much trouble after such an effective bowling performance first up.
