A plucky all-rounder, Curtis has a way of making things happen when in an Ireland shirt. Whether it be taking important wickets with the ball, pulling off a fantastic run out, or contributing with the bat when the chips are down, Camphers value comes to more than the sum of his parts.

While playing for a provincial XI in a warm-up game against Ireland in South Africa in 2018, a chance conversation with former Ireland cricketer Niall O’Brien resulted in Curtis coming to the attention of Ireland selectors.

His dual-citizenship makes him eligible to play for Ireland and having made the move to Ireland in 2020, he hasn’t looked back since.

A consummate fighter, he tends to take any opportunity he is given with both hands.
