We recently followed Ireland internationals Peter Chase and Simi Singh when they dropped into a Cricket Leinster school cricket session in Dublin. Here’s what we found.
The two players helped oversee a school cricket session with more than 50 children at Adamstown Castle Educate Together National School.
The session was run by Naomi Scott-Hayward, South Leinster’s Cricket in the Community Development Officer, as part of a wider cricket school’s programme that saw around 29,000 children in the last year experience cricket at school.
We also had a surprise guest, with Mayor Paul Gogarty of South Dublin County Council, drop in to lend his support, and members of the local Adamstown Cricket Club were also on hand.
