Tyrone Kane will return home to Dublin immediately after sustaining an injury while playing club cricket in Australia.
Kane, 24, is on a 10-week scholarship placement playing and training with University Cricket Club in Perth.

The extent of his injury will be assessed on return to Dublin by Mark Rausa, Head of Physiotherapy and Medical Services at Cricket Ireland.

Kane was recently named in the Ireland Wolves squad that is touring Sri Lanka in December/January. The early return to Dublin is a precautionary measure to ensure medical staff can maximise his recovery time prior to the tour.
