Cricket Ireland has today announced that Toyota Ireland will sponsor its flagship women’s domestic competition The Super 3s Series. The sponsorship will see the tournament renamed the Toyota Super 3s as part of a four year deal.
The announcement follows the recent renewal of Toyota Ireland’s partnership with Cricket Ireland by four years. This relationship sees Toyota provide operational and business support to Cricket Ireland, through its sponsorship of both the men’s and women’s international teams and contribution to the strategic development programme for the sport in Ireland.

Commenting on today’s announcement, Ian Corbett, Marketing Manager for Toyota Ireland said, “Toyota Ireland is delighted to provide further support to Cricket Ireland and the Super 3’s series in becoming title sponsors of the competition. Cricket continues to grow from strength to strength here in Ireland and we are proud of our association with the women’s game at an international level, but also at domestic level as we look forward to an exciting four years of the Toyota Super 3’s”

Dennis Cousins, Commercial Director, Cricket Ireland, welcomed the partnership saying: “We are delighted to see Toyota broaden their partnership with Cricket Ireland by becoming the title sponsors of the Toyota Super 3s. Having another mainstream brand like Toyota deepening their relationship with us and supporting the Super 3s series is strategically very important to Cricket Ireland as it fits in with our vision of making cricket mainstream in Ireland.”

“Toyota have been a fantastic partner to Cricket Ireland since 2013 and we look forward to building on this and growing the Toyota Women Super 3s brand together over the next four years.”

Toyota Ireland will also sponsor the Super 3s Player of the Year, a new category which will be introduced for the 2016 Cricket Ireland Awards.

Cricket Ireland today confirmed the playing squads for the 2016 Toyota Super 3s Series. Speaking at today’s announcement, Cricket Ireland Women’s Head Coach Aaron Hamilton is looking forward to what promises to be a competitive series ahead.

“We are really looking forward to this year’s Toyota Super 3s Series. Last year was the first year of the competition and we saw some really high quality cricket. We can see from performances on the international stage against Australia last year, and the ICC World T20 this year that the Super 3s is already making an impact.

“It’s fantastic to have Toyota Ireland on board for the next three years. The Ireland selectors met over the weekend and finalised the squads for this year’s series, and have selected three balanced sides for what will be a really competitive competition.”

The Toyota Super 3s gets underway on the 1st of May with The Typhoons taking on The Dragons at YMCA. A full list of fixtures for the Toyota Super 3s Series can be found here.
