Stuart Poynter could make his county debut for Warwickshire against Derbyshire in the final County Championship match of the 2013 season for the Bears.
The MCC Young Cricketer has been drafted into the squad for the Edgbaston based outfit because of a series of injuries to the regular wicket-keepers Tim Ambrose and Peter McKay who are suffering from broken fingers.
Named in the squad alongside Poynter is Irish captain William Porterfield and former Ireland player Boyd Rankin who was today named in England’s Ashes Squad for the Winter.
