Scotland beat Afghanistan by 150 runs to get their first win of the Tri-Series between the two teams and Ireland.
Josh Davey produced a record breaking performance, becoming the first Scottish player to take six wickets in an ODI as the Afghanistan team collapsed from 38-0 to 63 all out.

Davey had already scored 53 not out in the first innings, meaning he is also the first Scotland player to score 50 and take 5 wickets in the same ODI. He was well supported with the ball by opening partner Iain Wardlaw, who took the other four wickets to finish with 4-22.

Scotland has been under the pressure with the bat, being 75-5 at the half way stage. Richie Berrington top scored for Scotland and had a crucial 99-run partnership with Davey to give Scotland a chance in the match, but even then there were serious doubts that the 213-7 they posted would be enough.

Javed Ahmadi (21) and Usman Ghani (25) once again got Afghanistan off to a flying start, but once they had both fallen with the score at 48, Afghanistan were only able to add another 15 runs, with five players failing to score at all, and Samiullah Shenwari (10) the only other player to reach double figures.

The game was a must win for Scotland if they wanted to win the Tri-Series, and the size of the win has sent them into second place behind Ireland, meaning they will be in with an excellent chance to win the series should Afghanistan beat Ireland on Saturday.
