Following their win in the Newstalk Inter-Provincial T20 Trophy, the North West Warriors will be looking to continue that momentum into tomorrow’s 50 over clash with Leinster Lightning at Strabane.
The home side however will have to do without the services of Brian Allen, Andrew Riddles, Rick-Lee Dougherty and Andy Britton who are all unavailable for the fixture which gets underway at 11am.

This presents opportunities for the Ireland under-age international quartet of wicket keeper Andrew Austin, Rishi Chopra, Ross Allen and Gary McClintock who are all included in the 12 man squad for what is the Warriors final 50 over match of the season.

Meanwhile Stuart Poynter will make his first appearance of the season for the Lightning, with a window in the Durham schedule making him available for selection, while Middlesex man Andrew Balbirnie is also named in the match-day squad. Pat Collins is still unavailable for selection having fractured two toes playing for his club recently.

This is the Lightning’s second 50-over game of the season, the first being a hard-fought victory over the same opposition on Duckworth-Lewis at The Hills in May – a game in which Balbirnie showed his class with a brilliant run-a-ball 103*.

Play gets underway at Strabane Cricket Club at 10.45am – admission is free.
