Last year’s finalists Waringstown will be hoping to go one better this year when they take on Bready in the re-fixed final of the O’Neills Ulster Cup on Sunday.
With rain on the original date forcing the cancellation of the final, Waringstown and Bready face-off in the Ulster showpiece at Strabane Cricket Club.

Waringstown head into the encounter on the back of a huge 144 run win against CIYMS on Saturday where skipper Lee Nelson cracked an impressive 126 against one of the strongest bowling attacks around, while Kyle McCallan was also in the wicket with three scalps to his name.

The Villagers will be happy to have Greg Thompson back in the side after he was due to miss out the original final date, although Phil Eagleston is still on the injured list.

For the North West side David Rakin has been in fine form for both club and province in the opening slot and captain Davy Scanlon will be looking to the Newsatalk Inter-Provincial Trophy Man of the Series to provide the impetus at the top of the order.

Craig Young has also been doing the business with the new ball on the international stage for Ireland, and his extra pace will no doubt cause the Waringstown batsmen trouble early on.

Play gets underway at Strabane on Sunday at 1pm.
