Ireland Qualify for World Cup with Thailand win

Cricket Ireland is delighted to announce the details of another UKCC Level 2 Certificate course. After the huge success of recent courses in the Northern Cricket Union, the North West Cricket Union will be holding its own Level 2 course starting at the end of January.
Coaching young people and adults is a challenging and enormously rewarding role within the coaching pathway. Players need expertise, support and passion at every level of their development and as such this course is designed with your players’ needs at its core to help develop your confidence and equip you with the knowledge, understanding and applied skills to lead coaching sessions for young people and adults and create safe, enjoyable, stimulating player-centered coaching environments.
The cost of the course is £240, but those who go on to coach outside of their club environment could be entitled to a £200 reimbursement thanks to generous support from the Active Clubs programme.
The dates, times and venues of the course are as follows:
Intro Evening: Wednesday 27th January – 18.30 to 21.00 (Bready Cricket Club)
Day 1: Sunday 31st January – 09.30 to 16.30 (Artigarvan Community Hall, Artigarvan)
Day 2: Sunday 7th February – 09.30 to 16.30 (Artigarvan Community Hall)
Day 3: Sunday 21st February – 09.30 to 16.30 (Artigarvan Community Hall)

Lunch: Lunch for the three days of the course can be provided (at a small cost to the participants) if there is sufficient interest, details can be confirmed during the introduction evening.
If you would like to register your interest in attending this course, please can you email Michael Hingston (Michael.hingston@cricketireland.ie) with the following details.
Full Name, which club you are affiliated with, date of birth, home address, mobile phone number and email address.
Spaces are limited on the course and there is a maximum of three applicants per club, so make sure to get your booking in early. Courses in the NCU area filled extremely quickly so don’t hesitate to avoid disappointment.
We look forward to hearing from you soon and should you have any questions on the course or coaching in general, please feel free to contact Michael Hingston (Cricket Ireland Coach Development Manager) on the email address above or by phone on +353 85 877 4028.
For those attending the course, payment in full is required prior to or on the 31st January. With assistance from the Active Clubs Program those who have signed up and complete all three training days, 6 coaching sessions not in a club environment (eg School or Regional Coaching) and the online aspect of the course by June 1st 2016 will be reimbursed with £200. To be eligible for the £200 funding participants must be current members of a NWCU affiliated club, and have been playing in the NWCU region for the past 2 years.
