A fine 50 from Chris McMorran guided Ireland Under-19s to a 2 wicket win over the MCC at Muckamore today.
Batting first the MCC reached 202-9 in their 50 overs with Samir Dutt (66*) and Caspian Paget (23*) combining to put on 51 for the final wicket.

Rishi Chopra was the pick of the Ireland attack, his spin claiming 3-48, while there were also two apiece for Eakin and McClintock after the opening pair Anders and Adair caused probelms for the MCC top order.

In reply, Ireland’s innings got off to a poor start when Dennison was caught behind early on off the spin of Nieuwoudt, who opened the bowling alongside fellow spinner James Shannon. But despite losing wickets at regular intervals, a fine 50 from McMorran and 37 from Aaron Gillespie put victory beyond doubt and Ireland reached the target in the 49th over.
