Jimmy Joyce has stepped down from his role of Cricket Ireland President for personal reasons with immediate effect.
Arthur Vincent, President in 2009, has agreed to assume the duties for the remainder of Mr Joyce’s term, while President-elect, Robin Walsh, will then take over as scheduled in 2013.

Cricket Ireland Chairman Ross McCollum said: “I am aware of the great difficulty that Jimmy Joyce had in making this decision and he can be assured that he has the utmost respect and support of everyone involved with Cricket Ireland.

“Arthur Vincent has agreed to fill the vacancy for the remainder of Jimmy’s term and our sincere thanks and gratitude must go to him for taking on what has become a very time-consuming role at such short notice.”
