Ireland Women have announced their squad for this weekend’s fixtures against Nottinghamshire and Sussex with Kim Garth once again captaining the team in the absence of Isobel Joyce.
After an impressive debut against Durham in the 50-over format last week Rachel Delaney retains her place in the squad and will make her first appearance in the ECB T20 Division 1 competition.

Delaney replaces Hannah de Burgh-Whyte in one of three changes from the last round of T20 fixures where Ireland lost to Somerset before having a second match against Surrey abandoned because of rain.

Elena Tice and Lucy O’Reilly have also returned to the T20 squad replacing Amy Kenealy and Robyn Lewis.

With the exception of the injured Joyce the selectors had a full strength pool of players to select from as the squad prepares to face Australia in three T20 internationals in Dublin next month.

This weekend the side will face Nottinghamshire and Sussex at Welbeck Cricket Club near Mansfield in Nottinghamshire, with both games taking place on Sunday August 2nd. You can keep up to date with all the action through cricketireland.ie and the @irishwomenscric twitter account.
