The first One-Day International between Ireland and Afghanistan at Stormont has been abandoned. Torrential showers throughout the day meant no play was possible and umpires Ian Ramage and Roland Black called off the game at 2.45pm.

The next scheduled game in the series will take place on Tuesday July 12 (10:45am).
Cricket Ireland would like to inform spectators that those who paid for their tickets at the ground today can obtain a full refund by returning to the box office.

Those that purchased their tickets via Ticketmaster should contact them to obtain a full refund.

Alternatively spectators can use tickets purchased today for any of the four remaining matches in the series.

A reminder that those games are scheduled to take place here at Stormont on Tuesday July 12, Thursday July 14, Sunday July 17 and Tuesday July 19
