Fixtures Released
Ireland has been drawn in Group B alongside hosts, England

The full fixture list for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 was released today, with Ireland drawn in Group B. The T20 Women’s World Cup takes place in England, making it an enticing draw for Ireland supporters and fans to make the short journey across to the three different venues for Ireland’s group matches.
This year’s tournament will take place in England from 12 June to 5 July, featuring a record 12 teams competing for the title. Ireland return to this level having missed out on the previous edition, while Netherlands make their first appearance at a Women’s T20 World Cup.
Ireland have been placed in Group B alongside England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies, and Scotland. First up on June 13, Ireland kick off our campaign at Old Trafford Cricket Ground against the other team in Group B that made their way through the Global Qualifiers – Scotland.
Then comes a tantalising face-off against close neighbours England at Utilita Bowl, Hampshire, just three days later. Ireland then face New Zealand at the same venue on 19 June, before moving to Bristol for the final two group games against Sri Lanka on 23 June and West Indies on 27 June.
Qualification came earlier this month through the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in Nepal, where Ireland finished strongly late in the tournament to finish in second position behind Bangladesh. Scotland and Netherlands also qualified, making this a watershed moment for women’s cricket in Europe.
For Ireland fans and players alike, this tournament promises some unforgettable moments, with fixtures spread across historic cricket venues. In the coming days, Cricket Ireland will be releasing a link through which supporters can buy tickets for each of the Ireland games and be seated together in the stands.
Speaking about the group Ireland has been drawn in, captain Gaby Lewis said: “Seeing the fixtures really brings it home that we’re only a few months from playing a major tournament in England. Growing up, you dream of playing in big games, in big tournaments, in iconic grounds. I’ve been lucky enough to experience a bit of that but to make it back to that stage leading out this great team will be a pinch me moment.
“There are some eye-catching fixtures there. Playing England in their back yard should be a brilliant moment, and we know we’ve beaten a few of the other teams in our group recently, too, so we’re looking forward to getting our preparations under way with the knowledge of who we will be facing. It’s also brilliant to hear about all of the Ireland supporters planning to make the trip over to support us. We always have great support but with the ease of getting to these grounds, we’re hoping it will be even better than ever before.”
