The Scorchers are now from three from three in the 2017 Toyota Super 3s after defeating the Typhoons for a second time, led by Kim Garth and Isobel Joyce.
Isobel Joyce and Kim Garth’s superb all-round displays led the Scorchers to a comfortable 70-run win over the Typhoons in the Toyota Super 3 series at Oak Hill.
The pair scored 53 apiece as the Scorchers scored 219 for 8 in their 50 overs, with Joyce, in particular, in aggressive mood.

She took just 34 balls to reach her half-century, hitting five boundaries in a wonderful display of timing and placement.

Orla Prendergast chipped in with 25 while Cara Murray and Lucy O’Reilly both made 17.

Best with the ball for the Typhoons were Leah Paul and Sophie MacMahon who picked up two wickets apiece.

Joyce and Garth were to the fore again with the ball, as left-armer Joyce took 4 for 40, while medium-pacer Garth took 3 for 28 as the Typhoons were dismissed for 149.

Clare Shillington top scored with a powerful 34, but her dismissal ended any hopes of a Typhoons win.

Leah Paul (25), Laura Delany (19) and Sophie MacMahon (16) reached double figures, while Orla Prendergast (1-24) and Cara Murray (1-31) were the other successful wicket takers.
