Sophie MacMahon withdraws from Zimbabwe tour with injury

HARARE, Zimbabwe – Irish international Sophie MacMahon will return to Dublin immediately after sustaining a knee injury during today’s win over Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club.

MacMahon, 26, who has played 26 T20 internationals for Ireland, only arrived recently in Harare to join up with the T20I squad. Her injury was sustained while fielding in the second innings of the match. No replacement will be called up.

The Ireland Women’s Senior team are proudly supported by Certa, a leading fuel and oil provider in Ireland.
