A little history
International fixtures have been played at Stormont since 1997, when Ireland Women played South Africa in the only Women’s ODI played at the venue. However, it was only when England Men came to town for a One-Day International in 2006 that international fixtures became more frequent. Over the years, 66 Internationals, both men’s and women’s, have since been played there.
Ed Joyce holds the ODI record score at the ground with 148, his second century in five days at Stormont against Afghanistan.Â
Stormont is also home to Northern Knights.
