The Ground

Stormont Cricket Ground is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland and is home to Civil Service North of Ireland Cricket Club.

The ground offers a picturesque setting with its lush green outfield and the iconic Stormont Estate in the backdrop.

A little history

International fixtures have been played at Stormont since 1997, when Ireland Women played South Africa in the only Women’s ODI played at the venue. However, it was only when England Men came to town for a One-Day International in 2006 that international fixtures became more frequent. Over the years, 66 Internationals, both men’s and women’s, have since been played there.

Ed Joyce holds the ODI record score at the ground with 148, his second century in five days at Stormont against Afghanistan. 

Stormont is also home to Northern Knights.

How to get here

• Drive: From Belfast City Centre take the A20 road (Upper Newtownards Road) heading east. Continue on the A20 for approximately 4 miles until you reach the Stormont Estate. Follow the signs for the Stormont Estate, and you will arrive at Stormont Cricket Ground.
• By Public Transport: Take the Metro Bus 20A or 20C from Belfast City Centre towards Dundonald. Disembark at the bus stop near Stormont Estate on the Upper Newtownards Road. From there it is a short walk to Stormont Cricket Ground.
