The younger sister of Ireland’s opening bowler Jane, Aimee is an exciting prospect for the future – her left arm spin coming on leaps and bounds in the short time since she moved to slow bowling from seam. Took career best figures of 5-19 against England in Ireland’s first win against their closest neighbours since 2002.
Aimee is a talented left-arm spinner who started out as a promising left-arm in-swing bowler. She was persuaded to change to spin by a coach who saw the value placed on that skill in the world game. An excellent fielder and promising batter, Aimee had a rapid rise through the ranks – after impressing at the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in early 2023, she soon found herself called into the senior training squad and made her international debut shortly after.
The younger sister of fellow international Jane Maguire – Aimee took career best figures of 5-19 against England in Ireland’s first win against their closest neighbours since 2002.
