A powerful batter with long levers, Rebecca has moved from opening the batting to the middle order of late. Her natural ability to clear the ropes makes her a valuable hitter once the field has spread and towards the end of an innings.

Initially seen as someone who could take advantage of the opening overs of both formats with her boundary hitting ability, Rebecca has now shown that she may be even more valuable in the second half of an innings when boundaries can be harder to come by.

Her knock of 26 from 12 deliveries in Ireland’s must-win World Cup Qualifier match against Zimbabwe in September 2022 showed just how important her ball-striking can be for Ireland.
