Alice Tector is one of an emerging crop of young pace bowlers in Ireland who are looking to push the limits of the speed gun. Younger sister of men’s internationals, Harry Tector and Tim Tector, Alice has been on an upward trajectory through the underage talent pathway. However, after breaking into the international side in 2024, she has suffered a number of injuries. In 2026 she has been working her way back to full fitness.
While not back to full bowling fitness, Tector’s batting ability earned her a spot on the team at the T20 World Cup in England in 2026 and she was given a chance at the top of the order in the ODI team in Ireland’s first international match against England in the format since 2010.
Tector is hopeful of being back fully fit and ready to bowl when she captains Ireland at the 2027 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
