WINDHOEK, Namibia – Ireland Wolves captain Neil Rock expressed frustration that the game was abandoned with his side getting back into the contest, but found plenty of positives ahead of tomorrow’s second T20.
Speaking from the team hotel after finishing a training session, Rock Said:

“Obviously it was disappointing to lose yesterday, especially in that manner. It was a tricky wicket to bat on, but we probably didn’t adapt as quickly as we would’ve liked. We’ll aim to learn quickly as a group and put that right come game two.

“There were a few positives – Murray Commins played really nicely up top, and we showed great fight despite being under par and we really felt in the game before the lightning. The bowling group was right on it from ball one – it was really impressive to watch, particularly Peter Chase who’s had a long road back from injury and everyone was delighted for him.”

And did the players feel they were in danger from the lightning yesterday?

“No, not really. As soon as it got anywhere close the umpires did the right thing and pulled us off the field – it was just unfortunate because we really felt in the game at that point.”
