Ireland’s upcoming two-match ODI series against mighty Pakistan on Thursday 18th and Saturday 20th August will be the most widely-broadcast matches ever played in Ireland.

The series will also be distributed globally across five continents on a number of broadcasters including ESPN, OSN, Zee TV, Sky Sports Digital, Ten Sports, Fox Sports, SuperSport, Flow Sports and the Asian Television Network.

And in a first for Irish Cricket, the two-match KPC Group Series will be broadcast live on Ireland’s international TV channel, IRISH TV.

Welcoming the development, Head of Production with IRISH TV Máirtín O’Reilly stated: “IRISH TV is excited to partner with Cricket Ireland to broadcast these games with Pakistan as part of the KPC Group ODI Series. Cricket Ireland is doing excellent work to promote the sport nationally and we are delighted to be able to make the games available to the growing number of cricket fans across the country.”

Cricket Ireland CEO Warren Deutrom added: “This is a very significant step for Cricket Ireland as we have a growing number of supporters across Ireland who are interested in in watching the Boys in Green on national TV. We are very much looking forward to working with IRISH TV and underscoring cricket’s own credentials as a mainstream Irish sport.

“We are also delighted with the breadth of distribution of these matches into global territories including the Indian Sub-Continent and Asia, Australia, Africa, US, Canada and the Caribbean. This growing footprint only reinforces the fact that there is genuine interest in Irish cricket in the broadcast market and that we are playing a growing role in the sport’s economy.”

The matches will also be livestreamed on www.cricketireland.ie – you can join the current 600,000 fans and followers of Irish cricket who are #BackingGreen by following Irish cricket on @irelandcricket and facebook/cricketireland.

There are still a limited number of tickets available for sale for Ireland v Pakistan through ticketmaster.ie – Tickets are priced at €25 for adults and €8 for U-16’s.
