Ireland Qualify for World Cup with Thailand win

On request from a large number of clubs, Cricket Ireland will be running a “Designated Safeguarding Children’s Officer” workshop on Wednesday 27th January at the Playball Pavilion at Stormont 6.30-9.30pm.
This is not the usual the usual safeguarding course. This course is for individuals who will oversee child safeguarding issues at the club. Club accreditation expectations state that for sustainability reasons all clubs with a youth system must have at least two people from within their club membership who have this qualification/certification.
It has become clear from club details documents and meetings with that the vast majority of clubs only have one registered officer. Therefore this is the ideal opportunity to get at least one other person trained up.
Please note: Their will be no coaching course fee for those attending this course – we have been very fortunate through the Sport NI Active Clubs programme to receive a grant to cover the costs on a per head basis.
If you would like any further information or to book your respective club place(s) on the above course can you please contact me simon.johnston@cricketireland.ie
