Cricket Ireland membership was launched just before Christmas when Ed Joyce, Peter Chase, Andrew McBrine and Craig Young visited St Oliver Plunkett’s School in Malahide.
The launch also saw the news that both Sri Lanka and Pakistan will play their two match series’ in the North Dublin town, known affectionately as ‘The Village’.

Having heard what Craig Young had to say at the event earlier in the week, we now hear from Hanley Energy Men’s International Player of the Year Ed Joyce.

Speaking about Malahide, Joyce was thrilled at the prospect of playing in such a knowledgeable area with a real cricket tradition.

“Malahide is a real cricket town and it’s fantastic that a cricket town is the home of Ireland’s cricket so really looking forward to getting there for the four days”

There was also a real focus on attracting more juniors to the games, and with Cricket Ireland Cubs membership just €29 / £22, there has never been a better time to get involved.

As a Cricket Ireland Cub, juniors will get free entry to all of Ireland’s home matches, access to the member’s area at matches and 20% off merchandise, with the adult equivalent, the Cricket Ireland Season Ticket priced at €149 / £115 adults can also enjoy all of Ireland’s home fixtures in 2016 as a valued member and the opportunity to attend the Cricket Ireland AGM.

In addition to the Cricket Ireland Season Ticket, adults can also become Friends of Cricket Ireland and receive a whole host of benefits including reduced prices for all match tickets and access to the members area when attending for just €50 / £40, perfect for fans who can’t make it to every game.

Further membership packages also include Cricket Ireland Executive Membership and Cricket Ireland Patronage, priced at €1,200 / £900 and €5,000 / £3,200 respectively.

Memberships can now be purchased online, with additional information and purchase options found here.

Those not interested in Cricket Ireland Membership can still purchase tickets for any of the four matches in Malahide, with individual match tickets and two match packages available for both Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
