Ireland under 15s took another step towards defending their ICC Europe title when they beat Guernsey by six wickets in Rugby.
After losing the toss and being asked to bowl Waringstown’s Jack Carson took 4 for 13 as Guernsey were dismissed for just 75, with Coleraine spinner Varun Chopra continuing his successful tournament by claiming 2 wickets for just four runs.
Max Neville (2-24) also bowled superbly in a disciplined Irish display.
Rory McGovern’s 23 was the highlight of the emphatic Irish win, secured with almost 31 overs to spare.
In the day’s other games, The Netherlands edged out Jersey by 1 wicket, while Scotland set up a final day decider with Ireland by virtue of their 104 run win over Denmark.
