Ireland Under 19’s have named a squad of 12 to face Denmark on Saturday in the opening match of a busy season for the squad.
Jack Tector of YMCA will captain the side for the T20 clash at his home ground as the squad start their preparations for the World Cup Qualifiers in Jersey later in the year.

The match against Denmark is followed by 50-over fixtures against the North-West Warriors and Leinster Lightning over the next month.

Head coach Ryan Eagleson said “It’s a massive year for the Ireland under 19 side with the World cup qualifiers coming up in Jersey in July.

“It’s important we play matches together as a team to ensure we play to our best ability in Jersey and this starts with our first match against Denmark on Saturday. We know it will be a very tough test but one which the boys are all looking forward to.”

The match will start at 10.30am on Saturday at YMCA, and is part of a series of matches Denmark are playing over the weekend, including a T20 against Leinster Lightning at the same venue on Friday.
