ALL OVER! The Lightning complete the 15 run victory in game one here at North Down after a fine innings of 70 off 35 balls from Andrew Poynter lays the perfect platform.

14.00 Great Thompson giving himself room and two big hits off Sorensen puts Knights back in with a shout…24 needed off the last over!

WICKETS! Shannon (7) is caught by Sorensen at long-on off van der Merwe! Then Jones (51) is skies it to Richardson at cover off Sorensen the very next over to leave the Knights in all sorts of trouble!

55 needed from 3.4 overs!

WICKET! Tyrone Kane returns to the attack and picks up the wicket of Larkin, bowled for 7. The Knights are 87-3 off 14 overs. Nigel Jones is still at the crease and has moved on to 49.

The Knights need 63 to win off 5 overs!

WICKET! Waller (2) loops a shorter ball from Albie van der Merwe straight to McCarthy on the deep square boundary, who again makes no mistake with a comfortable catch.

It clearly doesn’t effect Jones, who crashes a huge six over long-on two balls later! Northern Knights are 78-2 after 12 overs. They need exactly 10 an over from here on in.

WICKET! John Mooney makes the breakthrough – Dougherty pulls it to Barry McCarthy at wide long-on who makes no mistake with the catch.

The Knights still well behind the required rate at 56-1 after 9 overs. Waller the new batsman joins Nigel Jones 26* (25)

13.05 The Lightning bowlers are keeping it tight so far, but the Knights are staying within touching distance – Dougherty is the aggressor so far with 16 off 18, while Jones has 8 from 12 in the Knights total of 26-0 after 5 overs.

END OF THE INNINGS: Peter Eakin picks up another off the last ball of the innings, bowling Tyrone Kane after he reverse swept him for 4 the ball before.

Leinster Lighting finish on 157-7 off their 20 overs, the Northern Knights will need 158 to win.

WICKET! Max Sorensen hits Eakin straight to Shannon at long-on who takes the catch. Lightning are 150-6 after 19.1 overs.

WCKET! Poynter goes for another big one off Nigel Jones, but it’s not big enough and Greg Thompson takes the catch on the long-on boundary!

Brilliant knock by the in-form Clontarf batsman, he made 70 off just 35 balls. Leinster Lighting are 152-5 after 17.2 overs. Barry McCarthy is the new batsman.

50! Andrew Poynter brings up his half century off 29 balls with a crash to the cover boundary off Eakin, and he celebrates with another boundary – this time to the long-leg boundary, then a huge 6 to deep mid wicket the following over off Cameron Dow!

WICKET! Another wicket for Cameron-Dow as Collins comes down the wicket and misses, Chris Dougherty behind the stumps does the rest and whips the bails off.

Collins made 24 off 34; the big hitting Max Sorensen the next man to the crease to join Poynter who’s moves on to 47 off 26 balls.

11.58 Andrew Poynter in free scoring mood here, he’s raced on to 37 with two straight 6s off Nathan Waller’s last two balls in the 12th over.
