Following the RSA Insurance ODI Series with Pakistan, Ireland all-rounders Kevin O’Brien and Paul Stirling have pushed into the Top 10 Reliance ICC ODI All-Rounder Rankings.
Stirling scored a century in the first ODI last Thursday and is in 10th place on 258 points. O’Brien is one spot further up in 9th on 261 points after his all-round top-class performance over the two days that earned him the player of the series.
Trent Johnston joins them in the rankings earning 18th spot in the Reliance ICC ODI Bowling Rankings with a rating of 611, just one behind England’s Graeme Swann who has a rating of 621. Stirling is also in 11th place in the batting rankings with a rating of 680 – this is Stirling’s highest ever rating in the batting charts.
He and the rest of the Ireland’s players next chance to soar higher will be in the crucial ICC World Cup Qualifying matches away to the Netherlands at the start of July.
