The Dragons have a distinct identity with its association with the northern provinces. The Dragons won their first title after re-emerging as a Super Series side in 2024.
An attacking opener who has already broken plenty of records at all levels, Hunter is a 360 player. Since the retirement of Mary Waldron, she has also taken the gloves at international level where she has shown just how effective she is behind the stumps. Hunter took over the captaincy of The Dragons in 2024 and has been one of the top runscorers for the team across the two formats for the last few seasons.Â
Bella brings a wealth of experience having spent a season in Ireland before when she played for Malahide and the Dragons in 2023. She holds the record for highest score in the Evoke Super Series - 163* against the Typhoons. She has played over 100 games for Auckland since 2015, as well as a T20 International for New Zealand Women.Â
Mansi has been playing cricket since she could walk. A player who reads the game in a way that belies her young years, her away-swing bowling is a joy to watch. A classical batter, she is always aware of the game situation and is able to adjust to the role she's required to do. New to the Dragons squad, Bhavsar could make a big impact straight away in the red.Â
An aggressive top order batter, Black impressed with her performances for the North-West in the 2023 Future Series. She likes to take on the bowlers and will bring an attacking mindset to The Dragons. Â
Calvert is an away swing bowler who skids the ball through. After an impressive season at under-17 level for the NCU, Calvert made her way onto the Ireland U17 squad and has continued in that progression onto The Dragons squad. Â
New ball bowler who can swing it prodigiously away from the right hander, Dalzell is a whippet in the field and handy with the bat. With a great attitude and work ethic, Dalzell has had a broken through on the international stage in the last few years with regular appearances in the green of Ireland. An important player for The Dragons with her ability to take wickets early in the innings. Â
A supremely talented batter who plays spin well. Harrison hits with power in the V and is quick to work bowlers out. After suffering an injury early in the 2023 season, Harrison returned to competitive cricket last season. Has been a key member of the Ireland U19 team that played in the ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cups in 2023 and 2025, Harrison looked completely at home at the international level. Â
One of Ireland’s most accomplished bowlers, Kelly can sometimes find herself using her change ups more often than her on-pace inswing deliveries. An economical bowler, Kelly can also hit handy runs down the order.Â
An attacking batter up the top of the order, Rebecca impressed at the recent U19 World Cup in Malaysia when she made 14* from eight deliveries against England before the rain came and put an end to the game. A player that learns every game she plays, another exciting player to watch. Â
Hailing from Hobart, Tasmania, Marsh is a real wicket taker with her spin bowling. She is also a handy batter and will add greatly to the depth in the Dragons squad.Â
McCartney is an off spin bowler who recently earned her first senior international cap. A key player in Ireland's two appearances at the U19 World Cup, McCartney uses her height well.Â
First choice keeper for the North West Warriors Women, McGranaghan has been ready to step into the keeper role whenever called upon for the Dragons.Â
A powerful batter, Lucy is strong down the ground who can bowl some spin when needed. A top order batter who can hit boundaries around the ground, Neely is one to watch for the future.Â
Spence is an away swing bowler who bustles in and can rush the batter. After an impressive showing at the recent U19 World Cup, Spence has continued in that progression onto The Dragons squad. Â
An athletic all-rounder, Ella is one to watch coming through the ranks. A skiddy bowler and smart batter, she is brilliant in the field and will make her debut at this level should she play this season.Â
A tall, hit-the-pitch bowler who can cause problems because of the height she bowls from, she's just as attacking with bat in hand. Not afraid to take the game on, Fisher was part of the Ireland squad that took part in the inaugural U19 Women's World Cup.Â
Davy made his List A debut for North West Warriors in the 2017 Inter-Provincial Cup on 29 May 2017. He made his first-class debut for North West Warriors in the 2017 Inter-Provincial Championship on 30 May 2017.
Davy took over the reins from James Cameron-Dow mid-way through 2024.
