Trinity’s Will von Behr scored an unbeaten 91 as Irish Universities beat Ireland Under 19’s by three wickets at Rathmines.
Von Behr was well supported by his fellow Trinity undergraduate Hugh Pike (34), with Ryan Hopkins (23) and Junaid Amin (21) also among the runs as they chased an Irish Under 19 total of 190.
Fiachra Tucker (2-28) and skipper Jack Tector (2-36) were the pick of the Irish attack.
Tector top scored with 39, with Lorcan Tcker (34), Sonny Cott (25) and Adam Dennison (24) all among the runs.
Von Behr (3-33) and Amin (3-33) had excellent all-round games and earned deserved call-ups to the Irish Universities squad which plays next week in Cambridge.
