Katie Boylan and Rachel Delaney have been called up to the senior Irish team for their trip to face Durham in the ECB County Championships this weekend after the pair impressed in Super 3’s games and training.
Boylan will travel as the 12th player in a squad that will once again be led by Kim Garth in the absence of regular captain Isobel Joyce.
Ciara Metcalfe will make a return to 50-over cricket as she retains her place after the recent T20 defeat to Somerset, she is joined in the squad by Elena Tice, who returns to the team after being unavailable for the trip to Somerset.
Clare Shillington is also not available for selection, paving the way for debutant Delaney, whilst Lucy O’Reilly returns after a planned break, taking the place of fellow seamer Amy Kenealy.
The side will face Durham on Sunday at Durham City Cricket Club on Sunday, with live updates available through @irishwomenscric on twitter, and www.cricketireland.ie.
