AMSTERDAM – Cricket Ireland has today confirmed that 16-year old spinner Aimee Maguire has withdrawn from the Ireland Women’s squad after an injury sustained during training – she has been replaced by all-rounder Sophie MacMahon.
Maguire suffered a mild sciatic nerve entrapment and will now undergo rehabilitation ahead of a hoped-for involvement in the Ireland Under-19s Women’s tour to Scotland next week.
Ireland Women won the first of three T20Is yesterday by 10 wickets (read more).
The second T20I starts at 1pm tomorrow (Ireland time) and can be followed on a livestream here.
