Match officials call off play without a ball bowled after rain persisted throughout Day One of the Test Match between Ireland and Pakistan at Malahide.
While echoing the fans sense of disappointment that the weather intervened to delay the start of the Test, Cricket Ireland management sought to assure fans that they would receive full refunds on tickets.

Fans will receive 100% refund of the purchase price, with the following directions to claim their refund:

• Ticket holders who purchased their tickets via TICKETMASTER by credit or debit card will receive a credit for the purchase price within 28 days.

• Ticket holders who made cash purchases at the gate today should go directly to the TICKETMASTER BOOTH for a ticket refund.

• Ticket holders who have made ticket purchases through Cricket Ireland must email ticketsales@cricketireland.ie with their contact details or proof of purchase within 4 weeks; or post the ticket, with contact details to: CRICKET IRELAND – Unit 22 Grattan Business Park – Clonshaugh – Dublin 17 – Ireland
