Pakistan name strong squad for Ireland tour with Misbah Ul-Haq captaining a 15 man touring party.
All-rounder Shahid Afridi will not be facing down Ireland’s bowlers in Clontarf in a few weeks’ time after being left out of Pakistan’s travelling squad.
Also left out are middle-order batsman Umar Akmal and fast bowler Sohail Tanvir. Umar Gul was ruled out with injury last week.

Pakistan selectors say that Afridi’s career is not over, claiming he is left out due to a lack of form. The Pakistan squad has a training camp from May 3-9 before making the trip to Scotland, followed by two matches against Ireland in the RSA Insurance ODI Series in Clontarf on May 23rd and 26th.
