The Northern Cricket Union’s Management Board met yesterday evening and announced the NCU team’s nickname for the 2013 Inter-provincial series.
The NCU had run a competition asking members of the public to nominate possible names. There had been an overwhelming response to the competition with over 50 suggestions received and the union thanks everyone who entered the competition, which produced a lot of very creative entries.
Due to the large number of entries the final decision on the nickname for the Inter-provincial team the NCU Management Board met on the 12th February and decided upon the team name of: ‘Northern Knights’
Best of luck to the Northern Knights in the inaugural Inter-provincial championships in 2013.
