Tim Murtagh has been withdrawn from the Ireland squad to play England in the Royal London One-Day International at Malahide on Friday (10:45am).
Murtagh sustained a hamstring tear in his left leg while playing for his county Middlesex in their ongoing County Championship match against Durham at Lord’s.
The 33 year-old will undergo a MRI scan tomorrow (TUESDAY) to assess the extent of the injury.
Cricket Ireland won’t name a replacement for Murtagh, as there remains 13 players in the squad.
