Tim Murtagh has been ruled out of Ireland’s forthcoming tri-series against Scotland and Afghanistan in Dubai.
The 33 year-old opening bowler sustained a foot injury during Ireland’s training session at the ICC Academy in Dubai yesterday.
He will return to London where he will undergo a further medical assessment on the injury.
Cricket Ireland have opted not to call-up a replacement for Murtagh.
Ireland’s first ODI in the tri-series is against Afghanistan on Saturday.
