Ireland Youth Winter Training Squads Named

Back

The Ireland Youth winter training squads for the U13, U15, U17 and U19 age groups for the 2014-15 have been named.
The squads will each take part in two national training weekends over the course of the winter, as well as attending regular sessions within their respective regions.

Commenting on the selection of the squads, Cricket Ireland National Academy Manager, Craig Hogan, who oversees national youth cricket, said: “Cricket Ireland is very pleased to announce our winter training squads and the coaching staff are very much looking forward to working with this exciting group of players. The process of selection was an exhaustive one with each Union asked to nominate players followed by a selection meeting with all National Youth coaches where each player was discussed at length.

“The National Youth programmes provided over the winter consisting of individual and small group sessions as well as national weekends will be very challenging for the players but we hope a lot of fun as well. They will provide strong support for the great work being carried out in each of the Unions and Clubs in developing our young players.”
