Ireland begin their 2013 season this weekend with two ECB Division Two County Championship matches against Devon on Sunday and Wales on Monday.
The team is captained by Isobel Joyce and she leads a familiar looking team with vice-captain Mary Waldron. Clare Shillington is one of the team’s key players along with all-rounder Eimear Richardson who just arrived home from New Zealand for the summer.

Amy Kenealy comes into the team ahead of seamers Kim Garth and Laura Cullen and Rebecca Rolfe has broken her way back into the team as well. Women’s Development team captain Laura Delany will be full of confidence on the back of her team’s warm-up fixtures against Berkshire in La Manga at Easter, as will Louise McCarthy, Elena Tice and Shauna Kavanagh.

Another player who had a fantastic season in the County Championships last year is Cecelia Joyce and Melissa Scott-Hayward will hope to build on her top performances in the shorter format last year.
