IRELAND have named their Under 19 for series against traditional rivals Scotland. The U19 squad includes two new caps at this level – all rounders Fionn Hand from North County and Waringstown’s Morgan Topping.

“The squad will have a familiar look to it as 11 of the players played in the recent ICC Under 19 World Cup in Bangladesh,” said Head Coach Ryan Eagleson.

“It will be an exciting challenge for the boys, as games against Scotland are always competitive affairs. We recently played them in that World Cup in Bangladesh and we were naturally delighted to beat them in a global event.

“We have two new faces in the squad – Fionn Hand and Morgan Topping – so they will get a chance to showcase their talents during the series.”

Skipper Jack Tector is one of three sets of brothers in the squad. He’s joined by his younger brother Harry, while there are also the Tuckers from Pembroke and the McClintock twins from Donemana.

The series starts on Monday July 25 at Drummond with a two-day game, with 50 over contests on July 28 and 29 at Bready.
