Ireland Women ended the season on a disappointing note after a batting collapse saw Bangladesh claim a ten run win in the KPC Group series at Shaws Bridge.
Chasing 107 for victory Ireland looked on course for an emphatic win as Cecelia Joyce (35) and Meg Kendal (23) put on an opening stand of 52.
However the dismissal of Kendal sparked an unfortunate turnaround as Ireland lost ten wickets for 44 runs with eight players scoring only three runs between them.
Rumana Ahmed (3-20) claimed a hat-trick of LBWs as Ireland were dismissed for 96, despite the efforts of skipper Laura Delany who made 26.
Earlier, Amy Kenealy’s (4-32) opening burst had reduced Bangladesh to 25 for 5, before opener Sanjida Islam (33) with the help of the lower order staged a recovery of sorts to post 106.
The teams share the KPC Group Series 1-1 after Ireland’s victory earlier in the week.
