Ireland Qualify for World Cup with Thailand win

Max Sorensen has been ruled out of the remainder of Ireland’s tour of Zimbawe and Namibia.
The 29 year-old Hills all-rounder suffered a back injury and will return to Ireland immediately, missing the four-day game against Zimbabwe A which starts on Saturday, and the ICC InterContinental Cup clash with Namibia in Windhoek.
Stuart Poynter – who was originally due to leave the squad following the Zimbabwe leg of the tour – will replace Sorensen for the InterContinental Cup fixture, subject to approval by the ICC Technical Committee.
